Course Curriculum

Explore your body from head to toe in five targeted modules, each designed to address common misalignments and strengthen the vital links in your posture chain. From understanding how your head and neck influence your spine, to unraveling tightness in the hips and back, you’ll gain practical insights and exercises that promote balance and ease. Round out your learning by liberating the hamstrings, knees, ankles, and feet—those often-overlooked foundations of good alignment. By the end of this course, you’ll stand taller, move more freely, and feel a renewed sense of confidence in your body.

Module 1: Forward Head Posture

Your journey to improved posture starts with your head. In Module 1, you’ll learn how your head impacts your spine, nervous system, and overall well-being, as well as exercises and awareness techniques to restore balance and reclaim natural posture.

Module 2: Rounded Shoulder Posture

An estimated 73% of the population has rounded shoulder posture, an endemic caused primarily by dependence on devices. In Module 2, you’ll discover all the muscles involved for proper shoulder posture and easy exercises to reverse course and realign your shoulders.

Module 3: Hips & Back

Known as your power center, the hips and back are integral for posture, stability, and movement. In Module 3, you’ll explore the key muscles supporting this area and learn simple yet effective exercises to release tension, strengthen your core, and activate a more balanced body.

Module 4: Hamstrings & Knees

Your hamstrings and knees play a vital role in maintaining posture by supporting balance, alignment, and mobility in the lower body. In this module, you’ll uncover the interconnectedness of these areas, learn to release tightness, and practice targeted exercises to improve flexibility and stability.

Module 5: Ankles & Feet

Never thought your ankles and feet played a role in posture, did you? Misalignment in these areas can throw off the vertical chain, causing imbalance and potential joint pain. In this conclusion module, Amy walks you through fascia release and neuromechanic exercises, as well as somatic practices that promote neural plasticity—which is your brain's ability to adapt and form new connections.

About Amy Buck

Amy Buck is a certified advanced STOTT Pilates instructor, postural specialist, and registered yoga instructor. After her first Pilates class as a student, she was captivated and inspired to learn more. That drive led her to pursue advanced certification training with STOTT Pilates in Seattle, WA, as well as in-depth studies in anatomy and applied kinesiology with the National Posture Institute and the American Council on Exercise. 

After teaching in the U.S., Amy accepted an offer to open a Pilates studio in Bali, Indonesia—where she continues to teach today. On ‘The Island of Gods’, she continued her training, gaining certifications in Clinical Somatics, neuromechanics, antigravity fitness, and gyrokinesis. 

She is the founder of ALIGN Holistic Fitness and has created The ALIGN Approach that is offered in luxury resorts from Bali to the Caribbean. Amy’s love for teaching movement and belief in the life changing power of mindfulness drive her passion to help others on their adventure to physical well-being.
