About Mariel Hemingway

Mariel Hemingway is a whole-body wellness advocate who has spent the last twenty years studying, practicing, and sharing her insights about how to lead a lifestyle of emotional balance and physical well-being. Her journey began with her struggles, which she has bravely opened up about over the years. Through her trials, she discovered the importance of caring for one's mental and emotional health, as well as the significance of living in harmony with nature and trusting our intuition.

Like her grandfather, the famed novelist Ernest Hemingway, Mariel has written several books including, Running with Nature, Mariel’s Kitchen, and Out Came the Sun. She is the co-founder of The Mariel Hemingway Foundation—a mental health non-profit organization NABA is proud to support.  

In recognition of her work, Hemingway has received several awards and honors, including the Humanitarian Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Life Achievement Award from the Sun Valley Film Festival.
