By anchoring to these values, recognizing when they are at play, and setting boundaries to protect them, you ensure they guide your communication and relationships effectively.
Module 3: Representational Systems
Representational systems in NLP refer to the different ways that we process and interpret information through our senses. By understanding your own representational system, you can communicate with people in a way that is most effective and easily understood.
Module 4: Mirroring, Matching & Because
Mirroring and matching is a technique used in communication to build rapport and establish connection. In this module, you'll discover how subtle mirroring and matching shifts can lead to more authentic and impactful interactions.
Module 5: Non-Violent Communication Pt. I
In this module, you'll explore the difference between objective observation and personal evaluation, and how to communicate without adding unnecessary emotional layers. Through relatable examples and introspective activities, you'll practice identifying observations versus evaluations to improve clarity and reduce conflict.
Module 6: Non-Violent Communication Pt. II (Feelings)
It’s time to analyze what feelings are—and also what they are not. By identifying and expressing clearly genuine feelings and the emotions attached to them, you build greater respect and empathy with others.
Module 7: Non-Violent Communication Pt. III (Needs)
In NVC, needs refer to the underlying motivations or desires that drive someone’s behavior or actions. In module 7, you’ll take note of your essential needs and how to communicate their importance.
Module 8: Non-Violent Communication Pt. IV
Module 8, you’ll learn how to make clear, authentic requests that align with your core values. Requests that increase the likelihood of having your needs met without placing unrealistic expectations on others.
Module 9: Make It Believable
In Module 9, Lunden breaks down the differences between the “language of possibility” versus “toxic positivity”, and how the former can be a gateway to authentic conviction and belief in what you feel and say.
