Week 1: Befriending Shame
In Week 1, Adriana covers the three distinctions of shame. She will help you explore and create an inner dialogue with your shame so you have a better understanding of its roots and can step into a space of self-acceptance.
Week 2: Compassion
Compassion is born out of our sorrows. Compassion is born when we stay with what is, watch it, and acknowledge its existence. In Week 2, Adriana guides you into the heart of self-compassion as the foundation for lasting change. Through gentle exercises, you’ll learn to embrace compassion, soften your inner voice, and replace self-criticism with understanding.
Week 3: Connection To Ourselves
It’s time to return home to yourself. In week 3, you will receive the tools to help you reconnect with your heart, analyze what throws you off, and listen for what your mind and body are calling for.
Week 4: Embracing Desire
Listening to the callings your mind and body are asking for, in week 4 you will allow yourself to receive them and learn why giving to yourself generously is an important step to dissolving shame.
Week 5: Gratitude & Release
Practicing gratitude isn’t always the easiest for those living with the burdens of shame. Week 5 presents a powerful opportunity to cultivate gratitude for yourself and your journey that creates appreciation which opens the door to healing.
Week 6: I am Okay!
Week 6 is about acceptance, or as Adriana says, “Okayness.” In week 6, we clarify that acceptance is not a rigid ending, but instead, a place, when rooted in unconditional self-love, is flexible to and accepting of different feelings on different days.
Week 7: Seven Disruptors of Self
Having awareness about the voices in your head is important, but understanding them in detail is crucial for a sustained mindset change. In week 7, you’ll acclimate yourself to the seven disruptors of self and how to best engage with them.
Week 8: You Are A W.I.M.P
You are the BEST project you will ever work on. Or in other terms: A Work In Meaningful Progress. To round out the course, you’ll engage in exercises that will help you react constructively or meaningfully to life’s uncontrollable circumstances.
